VPNJo Setup Guide
Create an account, get your subscription, and import a server configuration on your device.
Follow the interface in your current client Button names can vary between platforms and client versions. For example, “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import” may appear in different places. This guide describes what to look for rather than relying on exact button names. If the labels don’t match, check the instructions for your platform in the dashboard’s downloads section instead of searching repeatedly for a specific button.
Create an Account and Save Your Login Details
Start in the dashboard. Your plan, subscription, and client instructions are all there.
Select “Free Trial” below to open the VPNJo dashboard’s account creation page. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username that’s easy to remember without directly identifying you. Set a unique password and save it in a trusted password manager. Before submitting, check your entries, especially for spaces accidentally copied with the password.
Once your account is created, follow the prompts to open the account overview. This is where you’ll check your plan status, data allowance, and subscription options. If you’re still on the login screen, sign in with the username and password you just saved; there’s no need to create another account. If the username is taken, choose a different one. If you already have an account, use the login link in the navigation.
You should now be able to open your account overview, not just the marketing website. Creating an account doesn’t activate a plan. “Free Trial” is the label on the entry button; the available features are shown in the dashboard. This guide makes no promises about additional trial data or duration. Once you’ve confirmed that you can access your account, continue by choosing a billing option that suits you.
Choose a Plan and Confirm Your Payment
Know the difference between monthly plans that reset and data packs that last until used.
In the dashboard’s plans section, check the billing method first, then the data allowance. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you expect to use the service regularly, choose based on your actual usage. Video typically uses more data than browsing text, and the number of devices alone isn’t a good guide: unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data.
For occasional use, you can also choose a data pack: ¥158 / 300GB, ¥358 / 1000GB, or ¥658 / 3000GB. Data packs remain available until used and never expire, unlike monthly plans, which reset. On the order confirmation page, double-check the plan type, price, and data allowance. Don’t confuse a data pack with monthly billing or assume that monthly data resets on the first of each calendar month. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Check the order details shown in the dashboard before submitting.
Confirm your choice and follow the dashboard prompts to pay. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported. Keep the order page open during payment, then return to the dashboard and check the status. If the payment provider shows the payment as complete but the dashboard hasn’t updated yet, refresh the order and overview first. Don’t make repeated payments just because the status isn’t immediate. If you still have questions, contact support through the ticket system with your order details. Never share your payment password.
This service offers 14-day no-questions-asked refunds. See the refund policy for details on how to request one. Before continuing, confirm that the overview shows your selected plan and its data allowance. If it hasn’t activated, resolve the order status first. Repeatedly reimporting the client usually won’t fix a payment or activation issue.
Get Your Subscription Link from the Overview
Your subscription gives the client the server configurations associated with your account.
Once your plan is active, return to the account overview in the dashboard and find the subscription section. A subscription link isn’t a client installer or an ordinary webpage for a server; it’s how the client retrieves server configurations. Don’t copy the account overview URL from your browser’s address bar and use it as a subscription. Instead, use the dashboard’s copy-subscription option or the import option for your installed client.
If the dashboard offers one-click import and the relevant client is already installed, select it and allow your system to open the app. Then confirm the import in the client. A browser prompt asking to open another app is part of the handoff. If no prompt appears, check that the client is installed and follow the dashboard instructions. If one-click import won’t open the app, copy the subscription link and import it manually. There’s no need to create another account or place another order.
For a manual import, copy the link to your clipboard and paste it directly into the client’s subscription URL field. Avoid typing it by hand. Keep the subscription link private, just like your login details; don’t post it in public chats, forums, or screenshots. You don’t need to share the full link when contacting support. Start by providing the error message, platform, and where the issue occurred, and redact any sensitive information.
You don’t need to open the subscription link in a browser to test it. The browser may display text or a download prompt, but that doesn’t show whether the client can read the link correctly. Import and refresh the subscription in the client, then check whether the server list appears. If the dashboard offers multiple formats, choose the one recommended for your client instead of importing an incompatible format.
Import Your Subscription into a Client
Use the VPNJo client instructions provided in the dashboard. Don’t download installers from this guide.
Open the dashboard’s downloads section and select your device’s platform. The client handles your device’s traffic; the subscription provides the server configurations. You need both to finish setup. Sign in to get the client for Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux. The iOS download option requires an active plan. If the iOS page asks you to choose a plan first, return to the overview and check your account and plan status before continuing.
Windows: Add Your Subscription and Enable the System Proxy
Get the VPNJo desktop client for Windows from the dashboard and install it. Open the client, go to the section for managing subscriptions or configurations, and choose the option to add or import from a link. Paste in the subscription link you copied. If a name is required, use a label that’s easy for you to recognize; keep the full link in the address field and don’t put the label there.
Save the subscription, then update or refresh it. You should see regions and servers to choose from. Select the configuration you just added and open the connection section. On Windows, enable the system proxy as instructed by the client. If the interface offers other traffic modes, stick with the recommended setting for now and avoid changing multiple options at once. If the system asks for permission, check the app’s source before approving it. Once the server list appears, continue to connection verification; there’s no need to add the same subscription again.
macOS: Import the Configuration and Check System Permissions
Choose the VPNJo desktop client for macOS in the downloads section and install it as directed by the dashboard. In the app, add the subscription link from the configuration or subscription manager, then save and refresh it. If you import with one click from a browser, switch to the client and confirm that the configuration was added. Don’t assume it worked just because the browser showed an “Open” prompt.
When you connect for the first time, macOS may ask you to approve a network configuration or related permissions. Follow the client and system prompts, then return to the app and choose a region. If the configuration is imported but browser traffic isn’t being routed through the client, check that the configuration is selected, the connection is on, and the system proxy is enabled as instructed. Don’t weaken macOS security settings to get past a permission prompt. If you’re unsure what a prompt means, look it up in the help center.
Android: Import Your Subscription and Allow the VPN Connection
Sign in to the dashboard on your Android device, get the VPNJo Android client from the downloads section, and install it as directed. In the app, open the subscription or configuration page and choose to add a link. You can also use the clipboard import option if available. Paste and save the link, refresh the subscription, confirm that the server list appears, and set this configuration as the active one.
Choose a region and start the connection. When Android asks for VPN permission, check the app name and tap Allow. Return to the client and confirm its status. If the connection works while the screen is on but drops more often in the background, check the app’s background activity and battery restrictions in your system settings. Menus vary by device manufacturer, so don’t rely on another device’s exact menu names. For a more detailed walkthrough, see Android Setup from Scratch.
iOS: Download from the Dashboard and Add Your Configuration
First, confirm you’re signed in to an account with an active plan. Then open the iOS download instructions in the dashboard and use the provided download option to get the appropriate client. This guide doesn’t provide installers or direct app store links. After installation, return to the overview and use the import option for your client. If you’re importing by link, paste it into the app’s configuration, subscription, or add-from-URL section.
After adding the configuration, refresh the subscription and select it, then choose a region. The first time you connect, iOS will ask to add a VPN configuration. Confirm as prompted by the system. If asked to verify your device, do so only in the system authorization screen. Return to the client and start the connection. The VPN icon in the status bar confirms that a system connection is established, but you still need to check whether the content you want is accessible. Don’t assume the icon means every website will work.
Linux users can also find client instructions in the dashboard’s downloads section. Follow the same sequence: get the client, import the subscription, refresh the configuration, and choose a server. You can use the same subscription on multiple devices, with no device limit. Each device still needs its own installation, import, and any required permissions; a connection on one device won’t set up another automatically.
Connect to a Server and Verify Your Setup
Check the client status, exit region, and actual access separately.
After importing, choose a region based on what you want to access. If you’re not sure, try one of the popular regions listed in the client. VPNJo covers 90+ countries / 210+ routes; the options shown in the client and dashboard are the ones available to you. Select a server and connect. Wait for the client to show “Connected” or an equivalent status. If it stays on “Connecting,” check the current configuration first instead of switching servers and changing proxy modes at the same time.
Next, open a browser and visit a website you plan to use. Check that the page loads and that the sign-in, search, or content you need works. If you use a trusted IP lookup tool, you can also check whether the displayed region broadly matches your selected exit region. Don’t treat a single result from a lookup page as a complete diagnosis. Client connection status, exit region, and access to your chosen service all need to be checked separately.
If a website works in your browser but a desktop app doesn’t, the app may not use the system proxy or may need additional settings of its own. Check the app and client instructions before changing how traffic is routed. Streaming and AI tools may also take account region and platform policies into consideration. A working connection doesn’t guarantee access to every platform; repeatedly changing account details isn’t a substitute for troubleshooting the network.
If you can’t connect, retrace the steps: check that your plan is active, the subscription updated successfully, the correct configuration is selected, and system permissions and proxy settings are enabled. If the subscription update fails, first check that the link was copied in full. If the server list appears but the connection fails, try another available server in the same region. Change one setting at a time and note the result so you can identify what made a difference.
If the issue persists, visit FAQs for connection and troubleshooting topics, or open a support ticket in the dashboard. Include your device platform, the client message, which step failed, and what you’ve already tried. Redact your subscription link and sensitive account details before sharing screenshots. For more on how streaming region checks, server choice, and playback errors relate, see The Complete Guide to Streaming Access. This guide ends once your connection works.
Keep Your Account and Configuration for Next Time You can usually switch servers in the client you already use. To add a device, import the subscription again. Check plan and order status in the dashboard; the client manages configuration and connection. Checking both separately makes issues easier to diagnose.
